The 4th National Standards Council (NSC) Meeting was held at office ( 21), Ministry of Education, Nay Pyi Taw on 21 August 2017. The Meeting was attended by Chairman of NSC & the Union Minister of Ministry of Education ,Member of NSC & Deputy Ministers of Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Construction, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Deputy Permanent Secretaries of Ministry of Transport and Communication, representatives from Myanmar Computer Federation, Myanmar Engineering Society, Myanmar Engineering Council, Secretary of NSC & Director General of Department of Research and Innovation and totally (13) members and officials from National Standards and Quality Department were participated.
During the meeting, Members have discussed about the implementing procedures and requirements which were carried out from 3rd National Standards Council Meeting, discussing the reformation of National Standards Council, discussing the current status of rewriting of Standards Law and speedy up the implementing future Plans, approving (50) Myanmar Standards, discussing the implementation of National Quality Policy(NQP). newly formation of Standardization Technical Committee for Textiles and Garments, discussing the signing MOU with Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC).
