The 27th Meeting of the ASEAN Consultative Committee on Standards and Quality (ACCSQ) Working Group 3 on Legal Metrology and its Related Meetings was held at Novotel Hotel, Yangon , Myanmar on 12-14 July 2017. The Meeting was attended by delegates from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat.
Myanmar is indeed honored to play host the second time for this meeting. The First time we hosted was some 6 years ago, back in 2011.
In this meeting, relevant decisions concerning the ASEAN Working Group3 with related to Legal Metrology.WG3 has made good progress to date, through the development of various initiatives. They are harmonnisation of verification procedures (Non-Automatic Weighing instrument -NAWI) and Standard form for NAWI guidelines, harmonization of Requirements for Pre-packaged Products and development of ASEAN Guidelines on Type Approval Control.
