“ASEAN Regional Workshop on Good Standardization Practices” was held on 12-14 August 2019 at the Melia Hotel Yangon.
Director General U Win Khaing Moe for Department of Research and Innovation, Ministry of Education, Mrs Siglinde Christine Kaiser, PTB expert from Germany and participants from Cambodia, lao PDR and Myanmar National Standards Bodies (NSBs) had attended to the workshop.
In this workshop, Director General U Win Khaing Moe and Mrs Siglinde Christine Kaiser addressed the opening remarks respectively.
During the workshop, the PTB’s expert shared the Standards development in accordance with Annex 3 of WTO/TBT agreement, National Standards development in accordance with GSP (Good Standardization Practices) and others important topics for National Standards development in ASEAN Countries and participants discussed in Groups Works how to develop National Standards to be inline with nine principles of WTO/TBT and ISO etc.,to provide the knowledge and expertise on the area of Standardization.
