On 6 April 2022, National Standards Council Meeting (1/2022) was held on office No. (21), Ministry of Science and Technology, Naypyitaw and Union Minister, Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw was delivered to the speech and National Standards Council Members, Director General of Department of Research and Innovation and the officials had also been attended to the council meeting respectively. Accordingly, the following five documents such as the approval of (259) new Myanmar standards (draft), updating the technical sub-committee members and electrotechnical authorized committee members, the proposal for National Certification Body establishment to upgrade the quality of products, processes and services for standardization and accreditation sectors at national level had also been collected to get for the approval.
