Advancing Child Safety in Button Battery Products with UL 4200A webinar convened by UL Standard & Engagement Team was held on 30 November 2023 via Online System and the officers from Standards Development Division under Department of Research and Innovation, A total of (5) representatives from relevant technical sub-committees such as the Food and Drug Administration Department and the Department of Consumer Affairs attended.. In the webinar, experts explained the standards related to UL 4200A Battery Products as UL Standard & Engagement, as children are facing life-threatening situations due to ingesting button batteries. Regarding the Standard for Safety of UL 4200A Battery Products and The progress status of UL Standard & Engagement and UL 4200A Battery was also discussed.
