ASEAN Capicity Building Workshop on the Development of National Standardisation Guide was held on 1-3 November and 7-9 November 2022 via zoom link system and the representatives from Vietnam and Brunei and the officials from Myanmar Standards Body under Department of Research and Innovation were participated. On the first day of the workshop, Ms. Chong Susan explained the Overview of the Standardisation and after that one of the representatives from each country presented about the development of the standards in the country. On the second day, one representative from each country presented the group exercise (1): “One Key industry sector in Myanmar in the next 3 years”. Then Ms. Chong Susan explained details about the International Standardisation. On the third day, one representative from each country presented the group exercise(2): “What advice can you provide to the proposer for a representative list of stakeholders and for the benefits to be indicated in the proposal?” and after that Ms. Chong Susan explained the Standards Development Process. On the fourth day, one representative from each country presented the group exercise(3): “Managing challenging committee members” and then Ms. Chong Susan explained regarding the “Leading and managing a Meeting”. On the fifth day, one representative from each country presented the group exercise(4): “New TC plans to develop various standards for tourists to visit both natural and cultural attractions that can be reached only by the main rivers in the country” and Ms. Chong Susan explained the “Adopting and Referencing International Standards” under “Standards Development Process”. On the last day of the workshop, Ms. Chong Susan explained the details about the “Governance” and the workshop was adjourned.
