10th World Standards Day 2022 was held on 14 October, 2022 hosted by Department of Research and Innovation, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Union Minister was delivered the speeches to the ceremony. Representatives from National Standards Council Members, Technical Sub Committee Members, representatives from the ministries and the private sector and the official from department of research and innovation were participated. The outstanding students who were related to the logo competition and their family members were also participated.
The World Standards Day ceremony was organized to honor the cooperation of experts from the International Organization for Standardization – ISO, International Electro technical Commission – IEC and International Telecommunication Union-ITU in the development of international standards, to acknowledge the efforts of academics and professionals who are responsible for standards-setting fields around the world in terms of regional and national standards, to highlight the importance of published international standards, to recognize the key role these international standards play in promoting of; trade, health, agriculture, science and technology exchanges, innovations between world-class countries and to facilitate trade and to educate by producing according to standards.
In addition the officials were discussed in a panel discussion regarding the national quality infrastructure (NQI), the activities being carried out to strengthen the national level quality infrastructure, services activities, national certification processes; transition from good agricultural practices to manufacturing practices; necessary recommendations for the production and sale of safe food products in Myanmar. And the logo to be used by the National Certification Body was also awarded to the winners of the Logo Competition. Then the chairman of the National Standards Council Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw and the guests who attended looked around the display of posters on national quality infrastructure process and the ceremony was lifted.
