Technical Sub-committee meeting for Gold was held via online zoom meeting on 14 May, 2024. In the meeting, Chairman delivered the opening speech. The secretary (1) of the technical sub-committee for gold explained the duties to be carried out by the technical sub-committee, the weight of gold and quality standards being carried out by the department, the secretary of technical sub-committee for gold discussed about the tasks to be carried out in the development of standards, and members of technical sub-committee discussed about weight of gold, to be able to develop and enforce gold quality and testing methods as Myanmar standards, respectively. And then Chairman discussed on members’ discussion and the procedures to be carried out and decided to approve the discussion. In according to discussion, TC has agreed to submit proposal for standards for weight of gold to the department of research and innovation(DRI) for further procedure.
