Opening Ceremony of 42nd ASEAN Consultative Committee for Standards and Quality (ACCSQ) Meeting held in Yangon

On September 22nd 2014, Myanma Scientific and Technological Research Department hosted the 42nd ASEAN Consultative Committee for Standards and Quality meeting and its related events.
The opening speech was delivered by H.E.Dr. Ko Ko Oo, Union Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology and the meeting was attended by ACCSQ leaders, members from ASEAN Countries, president of IEC, dialogue partners, Director General and Rectors from Ministry of Science and Technology and country contact persons from relevant ministries.
The objective of the workshop was to discuss the harmonization of Standards, Conformity Assessment Procedure and Metrology.
Attendees were discussed to fulfill the requirements of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by 2015 and to eliminate the technical barrier to trade.
