The 50 ^th Meeting of the ASEAN Consultative Committee for Standards and Quality (ACCSQ) – Working Group on Standards (WG 1) Video Conference Meeting(29-30 November 2023)

The 50^th Meeting of the ASEAN Consultative Committee for Standards and Quality (ACCSQ) Working Group on Standards (WG1) was held on 29 – 30 November, 2023 convened by the ASEAN Secretariat via virtual system and  the representatives from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam and ASEAN Dialogue partners including IEC, PTB (Germany), METI (Japan) and EU ARISE PLUS had also been participated into the meeting respectively. As (WG1, ACCSQ) focal department of Myanmar such as Delegation Head of Myanmar Standards Body and colleagues had also been attended like other NSB of AMS.

Accordingly, the meeting agenda has also been discussed the followings:

• Follow up Actions on matter arising from 49^th WG1 Meeting
• Harmonisation of standards in ASEAN update on the ASEAN guidelines for Harmonosation of standards
• Update on the AMS status of adoption of electronic and electrical
• Update on standards harmonisation for wood0based products
• Update on Building and construction sector
• Update on the harmonisation status of conformity assessment and greenhouse
• Database for harmonisation standards
• Dialogue Session with International Electronical Commission(IEC) on New Areas Explored for Harmonisation(TBC)
• Date and Venue of the Next Meetings
