On June 30th, 2014, Myanma Scientific and Technology Research Department hosted the first meeting on the operation and functions of the Myanmar WTO/TBT Enquiry Point and Notification Authority. The workshop was attended by some 40 participants from relevant line Ministries, the private sector and other stakeholders.
The objective of the workshop was to discuss the operation, duties and functions of the TBT Enquiry Point and the coordination between line Ministry contact points. Attendees were introduced to international best practice on TBT enquiry point operation by an expert from the U.S. agency for International Development (USAID).
